League Divisions
JUNIOR - For 2nd & 3rd Graders
The Junior league builds upon the tee ball league’s concepts and begins to educate the players on some of the more common game situations and “what-if” scenarios during a softball game. Players begin the season pitching to the batters, introducing the strike zone and basic pitching fundamentals. Some of the key objectives at this level are for the girls to continue to have fun while learning the basic skills and techniques to advance their play. The focus is on teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence building, self-esteem and fair play. There are no play-offs or all-star game in this league.
MINOR - For 4th & 5th Graders
The focus of the Minor league is for players to heighten their hitting, throwing accuracy, fielding skills and learn more of the complete game. Pitching mechanics are further developed as players exclusively pitch against their opponents. Coaches are expected to continue to focus on confidence building and self-esteem. Score and standings are kept. The top 8 teams make the playoffs and there is an all-star game.
MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE (MSL) - For 6th to 8th Graders
The focus for the Middle School League is for players to reinforce their hitting, throwing accuracy, fielding skills and escalating their knowledge of the complete game. Coaches are expected to continue to focus on confidence building and self esteem for the players while helping them to identify which field positions they may excel at during the season. Score and standings are kept. The top 8 teams make the playoffs and there is an all-star game.
