Mini Sluggers is for children 4 and 5 years old in preschool.

The DGS  mini sluggers is dedicated to promoting all the positive aspects of girls softball. Emphasis will be placed on the development of sound softball skills without sacrificing the enjoyment of playing the game. Our goal is to ensure softball is used as a tool to: Teach the girls softball fundamentals. Help the players build self confidence and self-esteem. Foster social interaction in a team setting. Teach the girls the responsibilities of being a good team player. The coaches are charged with promoting a high level of sportsmanship and leading by a positive example.  No score is kept at this level. There are no end of season play-offs or all-stars.
