Don's Dugout
After an exciting parade on April 29th 2023, Danvers Girls Softball and the Danvers High School softball program honored Don Harp. Don is more than just an incredible coach and avid softball fan that has been a part of State Championship, State runner up, and final four teams... he truly cares about the development of all softball players at every level! If you have been involved in DGS, you have seen this amazing coach around the dugouts for hours and hours. Although Don will never take credit for the countless hours and support he has offered coaches and players, he has had a lasting effect on many!

Update: Coach Don sadly passed away on August 5th 2023. He will be greatly missed by our softball community.

Opening Day April 30th 2022

This year we have 2 divisions in the MSL and we wanted to recognize 2 very special coaches, who are gone way too soon. The Callahan division named after Phil Callahan. Phil coached his Daughter, Emma for many years in DGS and his son, Drew, in DNLL. And The Lynch Division named named after Robert Lynch. Rob coached his three daughters, Shannon, Jessica and Jillian in DGS and his son Danny for DALL .  Both of these guys were dedicated coaches and all around great guys and they are missed.  DGS feels this is a good way to honor them. 

So now please turn around and look towards the infield we have Emma Callahan, Shannon Lynch and Jessica Lynch to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the season.
